John Leddy - Dual qualified sonographer and physiotherapist.

John Leddy

I specialise in musculoskeletal ultrasound and physiotherapy, but also do a broad range of abdominal, gynaecological and small parts sonography, along with ultrasound guided injections.

As a physiotherapist, I am based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, and as a sonographer at St Peter's Hospital Chertsey. I am presently chairman of the physiotherapist's ultrasound clinical interest group DUG (www.dynamicultrasound.org)

My CV includes having worked as the clinical specialist physiotherapist for the Reading Shoulder Surgery Unit, honorary research fellow at King's College, and as an air traffic control officer.

I firmly believe that musculoskeletal ultrasound becomes a far more powerful tool when it is in the hands of the clinician who assesses and manages the patient, and for this reason I run an ongoing training programme for medics and physiotherapists in London.
