I have made regular use of ultrasound in clinics since 2000 and also have a regular ultrasound list to scan referrals from my rheumatology colleagues.
My clinical interests are sports injuries, rheumatoid arthritis and crystal induced diseases. I have made extensive use of ultrasound to diagnose and assess sports injuries, to assess disease activity in RA and to guide joint aspiration and injection in RA and gout.
I have used Sonosite equipment since 2002.

Mark Maybury Extended Scope Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, spending his time working between Good Hope Hospital, part of the Heart of England Foundation Trust in Birmingham, and at the St Luke's Soft Tissue Injury Clinic in Oxford. His main professional interests are the application of diagnostic ultrasound scanning to physiotherapy practice, guided injections, and research applications of ultrasound imaging.
